Latest Charts, w/e June 16: The Last of Us is top

This week's latest charts are in and we are very pleased to reveal that The Last of Us is the new number one.

Naughty Dog's Game of the Year contender becomes Sony’s first All Formats No1 since ‘Uncharted: Golden Abyss’ on Vita back in 2012. It is the 3rd fastest selling game of 2013 behind ‘Tomb Raider’ and ‘Bioshock Infinite’ and the biggest launch for a new IP since ‘L.A Noire’ in W20 2011.

Elsewhere in this week's charts, Nintendo's Animal Crossing also has an impressive debut, landing in the number two spot, while Codemaster's Grid 2, Tomb Raider and FIFA 13 make up the top five.

Of course. Well deserved. ND have a monster hit on their hands. I'd expect it to be there for a while!

Nope. We get Naughty Dog. MS already stole Insomniac away from us.

Shep as much money Microsoft have been throwing around trying to get exclusives I dont think they could throw enough money at Naughty Dog to jump ship kinda sad how much microsoft looks like its begging lots of publishers to make games for the Xbone

Wouldn't happen. ND are owned by Sony. Insomniac were always an independent Dev. MS just threw the most money out this time around

a man can dream! im more than likely wrong but aren't or weren't bungie owned by MS and they have gone multi platform with destiny?

Bungie were owned by M$, but Activision bought the studio, like EA bought Bioware, that is why the M$ exclusives are so weak, they sell there studios for quick cash rather than thinking long game.

I think actually that Bungie bought themselves out from under MS. They are working for Acti as a third party as opposed to an owned studio. While it could happen. Naughty Dog know which side their bread is buttered on. Sony give them free reign over what they do and they make a killing on every game. Looking at what other publishers do to devs **cough**EA**Cough**Insomniac**Cough** I would bet that they know that staying put is the best option

I don't think Bungie were ever directly owned by Microsoft

I'm no expert. I do believe that MS aquired them in the early 00's not 100% sure on it though

BioWare were never an MS owned studio. Bungie were owned by MS between '00 and '07 and have since gone back to independent after buying themselves out.

Maybe they weren't owned by them directly but they had some form of exclusivity contract with them.
