Watch Dogs gets multiplayer footage

Watch Dogs has received a multiplayer video, courtesy of Ubisoft Montreal in which we see the main protagonist Aiden, trying to identify a fellow online player.

This has a familar feel to it, almost like Assassin's Creed where you have to identify other Assassin's within the crowd.

Check out the video and pre-order below.

Similar to the AC multiplayer, great if you play with people who are playing properly, not so if you get people running around on rooftops for no reason.

This looks great but not really sure what's going on, so is this still in the story mode and people can join your game that are trying to hack you, bit confused.

Looks like a separate multiplayer mode with similar concept to Assasins Creed multiplayer where each player tries to hunt their target while avoiding getting brought down themselves. Only in this case its hacking their data instead of stabbing them like in AC. I'd be interested to find out things like how many players in one match and how large the maps are for this

Aye, can't have the maps too big or people could spend the entire time driving around and never getting found.

Well, in the mode they show it looks like the hunter could see where his hack target was. had to get close enough to lock onto him, had a chance to hide before initiating download (assumably can't be too far away) then once started if the target manages to find the hacker(focus crosshairs on to see player data) the roles are reversed and the hacker has to run away from physical reprisal

It does look really fun, I know a lot of people don't care for Assassin's Creed multiplayer but I personally love AC MP it's a change from the usual stuff you get in every other game, so I'm looking forward to this.
