Destiny is going to win too many of these awards. I was impressed but it is still too Halo for my liking.

I think Destiny is getting seriously over hyped and people are going to be expecting too much from it.

May be getting overhyped, but it's looking very impressive and the whole idea is impressive.

Destiny should be great. So long as it's infrastructure isn't paid for with Pay2Win microtransactions! I'll probably grab destiny just to fill in the whole left by not picking up BF4 this year! Good list of nominations.

The whole idea is impressive? I thought it was pretty much the same idea as Defiance, which sounded good on paper too. Still, better hardware and a better team behind it should make a difference, but I still think it's not going to be that good.

Destiny has a TV Show? It has a great team behind it with a budget fitting of the heights the game wants to go.

TV show aside, not that the show had any real interaction with the game, it's still the same idea, scifi shooter MMO.

I've lost track of the Games with TV shows. I know Halo, Defiance and Quatum Break do

Quantum Break has a TV show, or are you confusing it with Quantum Leap?

Yeah, Quantum Break was announced with a TV show at E3.

Not really since the TV show takes place in the game (I think)

A Quantum Break television series is also in production, with Remedy stating that "how you play the game impacts the show, and the show informs how you play the game.

The only thing I confuse with Quantum Leap is a pile of turd when walking through a dog park

Seriously, I don't get why Destiny and Titanfall are so revolutionary. They are just another shooters. Titanfall is FPS developed by former Call of Duty developers. Titanfall looks to me like some Sci-Fi Call of Durty with jetpacks and Mechs. It is cool and all, but not original in anyway. The same stands for Destiny. The visual effects are great and shiny (next gen), but the concepts of persistent world, mostly PvE is already established, so nothing original there. I have no doubts that Bungie will deliver a great game, but it is not an original concept in any way :) (original games category should be renamed to best new IP ;) ). Then again, there is one game missing in all those nominations - The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt. It is not original in any way. There are a lot of open-world RPGs out there, but there is not RPG quite like The Witcher. BTW, all of the EA's Ignite presentations were more like tech-demos, no gameplay or something like that. That's all cool but it is the same thing we saw on XBOX reveal event. I am really interested to see how Watch Dogs will actually play, the demos are one thing but actual game experience will be quite different.

Destiny did look very good and will probably win quite a lot of awards. I think Infamous deserves to win an award the graphics looked amazing from what I saw of it.

@JM, Gloria: I loved Quantum Leap. It was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid :)

Best RPG.... where the hell is Witcher 3? Take out Shin Megami (never even heared of it) and stick W3 in there, also The Division deserves a spot somewhere.

While I agree that The Witcher deserves a spot I don't think you should dismiss Shin Megami Tensei 4 just cos you haven't heard of it. There is a reason that the Megaten series and it's spin-offs are popular. Stick of Truth should be removed if anything

Ok I just did a Google for Shin Megami and it looks terrible, so I stand by my original comment, plus South Park looks ok

SMT games aren't actually as popular as you'd think, it's the spin off Persona series that is the most popular part of the brand as a whole, as illustrated nicely by recent mainline game SMT4 not selling as well in Japan as the Vita version of Persona 4 did at launch... but yes, Whitey, you're clearly the only one that gets it here as The Division deserved much MUCH more attention for show awards than it got. Also, Joe, Titanfall isn't Xbone exclusive at all, it's also releasing on PC and 360 day one in addition to Xbone... with Respawn hinting at a PS4 version to come later in interviews also.

Well Titan Fall is published by EA so is most likely a timed MS exclusive, also I thought the PC version was coming later than the Xbox one? May decide to get it for PC instead if it's same day.

I know that the Mainline Megaten Series has been overtook by the Persona games (& rightfully so) but you can't deny the influence the Megaten Series as a whole has had on the RPG genre. (Plus the tales the series spins are great)

Has it had any notable influence on JRPGs as a whole really? Don't get me wrong, I would very much like to see other JRPGs adopt a lot of elements present in SMT titles' combat systems and the relationship systems from Persona titles and all, but I've never really seen their influence anywhere to date (Well, outside of that Vita RPG out later this year that straight up rips off Persona 3... Mind Zero? Something like that.). Whitey, everywhere I've seen Titanfall release dates discussed it's been stated that the Xbone/PC versions are Q1 2014 with the 360 version following soon after (Due to outsourced development). Haven't seen a staggered PC release mentioned specifically as yet.
