Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon sells over 500,000 copies

Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon has sold over 500k digital copies across PC, PSN and XBLA.

CEO Yves Guillemot said as much in an interview with Games Industry, while also revealing that Far Cry 3 sales on PC got a big boost thanks to the release of Blood Dragon.

Guillemot has said that thanks to the huge success of Blood Dragon a sequel is currently being considered. In fact the development team has already pitched an idea.

Don't over do it guys. Blood dragon had me pissing myself with laughter. But if you try too hard, you're going to fuck it up!

I've still to get stuck in to it, but it is funny as. If they get a good sequel out, OK, but it'll have to be just as funny as the first to interest people.

Deserved. It was a lot of fun to play. I believe they also said Call of Juarez Gunslinger was successful as well (It was also a really decent title), so "budget" level franchise entries were going to be a thing for Ubisoft from here on out. I'm fine with that if they keep the quality up.
