Kinect can read QR codes

Microsoft’s Marc Whitten has confirmed on Twitter that the new Kinect will be able to read QR codes.

It's not exactly a ground breaking feature, but it could be a useful time saving one if Microsoft and third party publishers decide to make use of it. Just imagine, no more typing in those long frustrating codes. No more mistaking an 'i' for an 'l'.

Sounds good doesn't it?

It's the U and V that are a bitch. Unless you have the other in the code as a reference, they look almost identical.

I redeem all my codes through xbox.com anyway as it's quicker than through the console, but scanning a QR code would be a lot simpler.
