Listen: We Are Scientists reveal standalone single 'Something About You'

As they prepare to embark on a UK tour, We Are Scientists have announced plans to release a brand new single.

'Something About You' follows news that the band have signed a UK record deal with 100% records. It will be released later this month as a standalone track because "some of the fans desperately, desperately needed it" according to frontman Keith Murray.

The track was written and recorded in New York earlier this year and will be available on vinyl and as a digital download on Tuesday July 16. It's the band's first new material since their 2010 album Barbara, which is available to download now on ShopTo. You can stream the new track below.

Shortly after the single's release, We Are Scientists will be heading out on a UK tour. Dates are as follows:

22 Thekla, Bristol
23 Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth
25 XOYO, London
26 Club NME, London
27 Kasbah, Coventry
29 Oran Mor, Glasgow
30 Gorilla, Manchester
31 53 Degrees, Preston
