Rayman Legends will not make sure of Microsoft's Smartglass tech as it isn't good enough or popular enough to replicate the experience of Wii U.
"It's not as responsive as we need," Ancel told Shacknews when quizzed on SmartGlass. "It's not very popular today."
It seems that the developer also struggled to get the Wii U to respond the way it wanted to, although that's now been resolved.
"To me, it's not very natural to play with the stylus. I think most of the kids now are more comfortable with tablets, they use their fingers," he said, adding that they had to do "some special developments to interpolate what the player is doing", in order to inputs on the Gamepad accurate enough.
Rayman Legends is out this September. You can pre-order below.
