Next Gen Tomb Raider "well into development"

It's been confirmed that a Tomb Raider sequel for next-gen is "well into development."

Square Enix CEO of Europe and North America, Phil Rogers, revealed in an open letter on the firm's blog that the game is on the way.

"I am also excited to reveal that we are well into development on a next-generation Tomb Raider sequel – something you may have heard about recently," he wrote.

"In the future, we’ll offer gamers more choice, support more platforms and try new things – but we will make sure that whatever the platform, we’ll always keep our focus on raising the quality bar. We feel that is what gamers should expect from a Square Enix game."

Good news don't you think?

It was bound to happen with how well Tomb Raider was received. I really enjoyed Tomb Raider but would like more exploration in the new one does not need to be open world or anything just larger environments with more hidden caves and so on.

I agree on the exploration thing the game was good but it was too action oriented a lot of the time.
