Assassin's Creed 4 to be playable on PS Vita

There won't be an Assassin's Creed game for PS Vita this year, however you will be able to play Assassin's Creed 4 on your PS Vita.

Speaking in an interview with EurogamerAssassin's Creed 4's associate producer Sylvain Trottier said that while the team are too busy to work on a dedicated version of the game, players will be able to take advantage of the PS4's remote play functionality.

"You'll be able to leave your main screen and switch it all on to the Vita," said Trottier. "This is going to be a supported feature in Assassin's Creed 4. All we have to do is make sure the controls are good on the Vita because it's missing a few buttons."

Are you looking forward to playing Assassin's Creed 4 and other PS4 titles on your PS Vita? It certainly sounds like this could be a big selling point for the system should developers utilise it. We really hope they do.

A game like AC could easily adapt to the VITA I thnik, as the buttons aren't quite all in full use all the time.

Developers don't even need to utilise Remote Play themselves, it's a native feature built into the PS4 hardware that allows full remote play without the devs needing to do anything to their games themselves to allow it. Some of them seem to be specifically optimising their games for Vita RP though, like CD Projekt with Witcher 3 for one.
