Nintendo Direct dates games and more

Nintendo has updated some of its upcoming games, including Sonic Lost World, Rayman and Zelda HD.

First up of course is Rayman Legends for Wii U, which arrives later this month on August 29, while Zelda Windwalker HD follows soon after on October 4. Finally, we are treated to Sonic Lost Worlds for both 3DS and Wii U on October 18, followed by a new 3DS Zelda title known as A Link to the Past this November.

Animal Crossing fans aren't left out as a new Animal Crossing Series Community has opened on Miiverse, along with a new Animal Crossing Plaza on Wii U. The Plaza allows you to import & share images and QR Codes and more.

Finally it was announced that Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney will get a European release next year.

Think we might be getting stuff cut from the original WW, they used the word unexpected a lot considering they were talking about a 10 year old game. Liking the look of Sonic too, but don't think the connectivity between Wii U and 3DS is enough of a reason to get both versions.

Hopefully cos a bit of the cut content was in (SPOILER) Hyrule. Did anyone else hear him say more extra content will be shown before a cut

Zelda cut areas were already confirmed to be not being included in the HD version, so anything "new" in it probably won't have any new actual gameplay content (Same as Ocarina of Time 3DS). Surprised no new games were announced in this direct given the weak line up through the rest of the year and still we get no clear info on whether Bravely Default is even coming out this year or not.

Plenty there, although not loads. Nice that they are updating us at least. Liked quite a bit of the indie ones so hopefully they are priced right. Kinda wish they announced some new XL types. Really wanting that One Piece Red XL lol

A new Zelda known as 'A Link to the Past'? I think you'll find that was the SNES version. Wasn't the sequel going to be called 'A Link Between Worlds'? Sad to hear there is nothing new but glad the 3DS Zelda title has a release window. I thought Wind Waker was due in September? Disappointed that's been pushed back a few weeks. Also I couldn't give a damn about Rayman anymore. Haven't forgiven Ubi for the rediculous delay. I'm not a big fan of the series but I probably would have brought it back in Feb for my Wii U. Might as well save the cash the big releases in Autumn instead now.

Omg, just watched the part about A Link Between Worlds and the best thing about the whole game is that they've kept the Dark World music theme. Best... News... EVER!

A lot of people couldn't care less about Rayman anymore Aimee, they lost a lot of sales by delaying it, and padding it out with Origins content isn't winning anyone back.
