Games for Windows Marketplace to close

As part of the upcoming Xbox 360 system update, Microsoft Points will be retired, and the Xbox.com Games for Windows PC marketplace will be closed as of August 22, 2013.

According to a post on Microsoft's Facebook page, it is encouraging users to spend Microsoft Points balance prior to this change.

Microsoft says that although you will not be able to purchase new games, you can continue to enjoy previously purchased content by downloading them through the Games for Windows LIVE client software as usual.

Microsft Flight add ons are currently cheaper than Steam, but does not take long for a Steam sale. Fable is good at £4.99 too, but most other prices are OTT.
