Bale to remain as UK cover star for FIFA 14

Welsh winger Gareth Bale will remain on the cover of FIFA 14 in the UK, even though he has jusr completed a world record £85.3m move from Spurs to Real Madrid.

"Gareth Bale remains the FIFA 14 UK cover star alongside Lionel Messi," an EA Sports spokesperson told Eurogamer.

"In light of his recent transfer we are working closely with his management and we will have an update soon."

Seems like it's too late for EA to Bale out of its cover art. It'll be interesting to see if they get a Real Madrid shirt on him in time for release.

Still gutted we've lost Bale at Spurs. I hope they get a Madrid shirt on him for the cover, don't want to be looking at that cover for the next year.

Now there's only 2 welsh teams in the premier league Cardiff and Swansea.

They always have a premier league player on the front of the UK Fifa though. Thierry Henry, Patrick Viera, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs etc... Interesting to see what they do.

They should change the cover art for FIFA 14 in the UK. Bale is no longer Tottenham player. They should feature someone else. Robin van Persie (best forward in last year's campaign), Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla, Suarez biting Messi ;) Anyway, I think that the cover should feature Premier League player, and not former Premier League player.

I don't see a need to change it - why is it absolutely necessary to have a Premier League player there? The Scottish don't complain there is no SPL player and they're part of the UK. Bale will still be iconic to Premier League fans, we'll all be watching to see how he does in Spain.
