Rockstar warns against installing 'play' disc for GTA V on Xbox 360

Rockstar has warned Xbox 360 gamers against installing the Grand Theft Auto 5 "play" disc.

GTA V on Xbox 360 comes with two discs, one to install and one "play" disc, both around 8GB in size. However, Rockstar has warned against installing the second disc.

"For optimal performance, we recommend not installing that disc," tweeted Rockstar Support, before adding "An 8GB install is required. For optimal performance, we recommend not installing the play disc."

Rockstar has promised more information soon.

Hey Godric Its to do with read and write speed of the hard drive, So you install GAME DVD 1 to the hardrive and also install the PLAY DVD on the harddrive the game has now only the read speed of the Harddrive to work from for all 16gb of data if on the other hand you have the game playing from the drive the game can then read from both the harddrive and DVD drive.... which means faster loading and over pushing more data per sec :)

I've not played a game from the disc since they first released the install feature.

OH I hope it breaks the game. I really do. Just to see the look on people's faces when it doesn't work for them. Will be delicious.

Just install the game onto a flash drive and the data one onto the hard drive :) no issues at all
