The Entertainment Retailer's Association has estimated that the PS4 will outsell the Xbox One during the consoles launch period.
According to the companies research (based on a survey of 2,068 adults conducted by Fly Research) 1.8 million PS4 units will be sold in the UK, equating £638.5 million in sales, while Xbox One sales are expected to hit 1.3 million units. This would generate sales of £560m.
"In both cases, sales could be much higher if those who said they are 'likely' to buy the new consoles are included." Currently, only those who responded "definitely" were included in the sales estimates.
Of course all of these estimates don't mean much if there are not this many consoles to go around, although given that both consoles have just about sold out for day one delivery, it seems it won't be for a lack of demand, but rather a lack of supply.
Do you think PS4 will outsell Xbox One this Xmas?
