The parent company of SEGA, known as SEGA Sammy, has bought out Index Corporation, the parent of Japanese publisher, Atlus according to a report by Nikkei.
Apparently the deal is worth ¥14 billion and will see the publisher, which is best known in the west for the Persona series as well as the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. The US arm of Atlus has also took it upon itself to publish titles in the West which have went on to be a huge success, with Catherine and Demon’s Souls amongst them.
Atlus currently has multiple titles in development and it's unknown how these will be affected by the news.
