Xbox One to include 'follower' system, new gamercards

It's being reported that Microsoft will take inspiration from Twitter when it comes to finding friends on Xbox One.

The system means that users can have for unlimited followers, according to Destructoid although your friend limit will still be locked at 1,000.

Since anyone who is a follower isn't necessarily a friend, we aren't sure what stats they'll be able to see, although Achievements, Challenges and Games Played are likely to be public.

There will also be new high definition gamercards, a sample of which you can see in the picture below.

Check out even more information on the gamercards over at IGN, where they have an Ask Microsoft anything feature, detailing a lot more information on the new gamercards and more.

Xbox One launches in the UK on November 22.

So, they want to make Xbox LIVE like some kind of social network. This system appears to be similar like Facebook's subscriber system. I guess it will allow the gamers to control which information is available. Now, they only need to add picture sharing via Kinect and we will see a bunch of self-shots in the bathroom. With Kinect.

So now Xbox wants me to be a stalker and follow people now too? That feeling when you get a message pop up saying "Creeper106 is following you"

I find this Twitter like following system interesting. However Microsoft didn't seem to explain a lot about it
