Battlefield: Bad Company will return - Dice

DICE Creative Director Lars Gustavsson has said that Battlefield: Bad Company will return, although not anytime soon.

Speaking to reporters at a Battlefield 4 event, Gustavsson said, ”My feeling is that I would love to do it. For me, when we started the company with 1942, it was really a work of passion,” Gustavsson said. ”And then we worked our way through the era of different wars, and I loved them all, like my little babies. When it came to Bad Company, it was creative freedom; don’t take yourself too seriously.

“So I love it. I want to see it again. Whether it can happen [right] now with the newly announced Mirrors Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront… but we’ll see.”

“But trust me, the Bad Company [team] isn’t forgotten, they are just on a very long vacation,” he continued. “So they are out there, they’re coming back.”

Battlefield: Bad Company was first released in 2008 followed in 2010 by Bad Company 2. Many fans were expecting Battlefield Bad Company 3 to be announced following the release of Battlefield 3, however Dice opted to developer Battlefield 4 instead.

on the 360 at least battlefield 3 (and 4 looks next gen only) was a major step down, visually and online with not enough players for the maps and most of all the lack of destruction. 12 vs 12 is not enough for the none BC battlefields, should finished on current gen with a bad company 3 and let the big boys have 4. But money and install bases of a combined 160 million talk, especially a E.A, . SHAME who wants a seriously gimped version ,knowing the ps4 and xboxone have 32 vs 32 at least and 1080p/ 60fps. bad company 2 looked superb on current gen what happened dice?
