PS4 lets you live stream your face

Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed via Twitter that it’ll be possible to livestream your face alongside your gameplay footage, allowing you to provide a more personal style of commentary to accompany your livestream.

This is quite a popular way of providing gameplay footage over YouTube at the moment, so we're sure gamers will love this option. Of course in order to stream your face alongside your gameplay footage you will be required to own the new PS Eye Camera.

Yoshida also confirmed that you'll be able to start games with voice commands and more, although Sony seems to be playing down the functions of its camera at the moment and instead concentrating on the console.

I've never seen a video where it shows a player streaming their own face alongside the game, only those which show the game streaming. If you can find it I'd like to see it just out of interest.

Ah just seen the screen thanks. Will keep the story up incase people didn't know, as I didn't and it's quite interesting.

The other difference between this and Youtube is that people on Youtube get paid. As nice an option as this is, I don't think you're going to see it used as much as Sony hopes it will.

You can get paid if you get partnered on Twitch same as YouTube

Yeah I'm sure if someone is talented enough and attracts viewers they could do well out of this. There are some funny people out there.

Who would want to have people seeing your ugly (or not ugly) mug live streamed? Unless you want to see their reactions to playing the games I guess?

the thing is, NOONE will be watching these startup videos. as EVERYONE will now be able to record. as it stands its hard enough to get views, so when all the 12 year olds flood the net with shite gameplay of fifa and cod.... well i prefer not to go there.
