Monster Hunter 4 has now shipped over 3 million units

Capcom's Monster Hunter 4 has now shipped over 3 million copies, meaning it has outperformed Capcom's own expectations.

Capcom expected to move 2.8 million copies of Monster Hunter 4 by March 31, 2014, yet between retail shipments and download sales via the Nintendo eShop it's easily surpassed that number.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, which was released in 2010 shipped 3 million copies in 17 days, while Monster Hunter 4 has taken a month to achieve this. However, Portable 3rd launched in the busy December period, so this must also be taken into account.

Either way, it seems likely that by March 31, 2014, the game will have sold many more units, which you would think would keep Capcom happy. In a way it makes you wonder why they don't release the game on more platforms. If it can sell 3 million on 3DS alone, how many more would it sell on other systems?

Looking forward to a release over here but I do hope that they bring it out on the Wii U as well as the 3DS like they did with the third one.

Don't think I'll be bothering really, 3 was OK, not my sort off game really though, far too much grinding involved.
