Killzone Mercenary gets 1.1 GB patch

PS Vita title Killzone: Mercenary has got its second patch, weighing in at a whopping 1.1 GB.

According to Guerrilla Cambridge technical director Matt Porter the patch is designed to fix "connectivity issues" players may have experienced.

"We're hoping that many of you who were previously unable to connect into the community will now be able to enjoy Killzone: Mercenary to its fullest."

Apparently the previous patch, which was 1.6 GB in size, will "essentially" be deleted after today's patch is applied, although you'll still need 1,190 MB of free space to download the new patch.

"We're currently investigating solutions to reduce the overall size of the title and free up more of your valuable memory card space," Porter explained. "We hope to be able to share more news on that work very soon. However, it seems unlikely to us that the overall size of the downloaded game, plus the patch, will ever be under 4 GB."

Good news, it seemed to work fine for me as long as I had a fast connection, if it was a little slow matchmaking could be a bit frustrating even though my other online games managed regardless
