PS Vita to get PocketStation App

Sony Japan has revealed a new PocketStation App for the PlayStation Vita.

The memory-card-with-a-screen will work with saved game data for specific games, most likely allowing developers to release old-school mini-games for players to test out on the old style LCD screen of the Vita app.

Other than that it's a bit of a mystery to us. But maybe we'll find out more if this ever releases outside of Japan.

Here's a video.

Yeah it was a baby chocobo you had to raise. There was also a mini game for saga frontier 2 that I had just never got round to playing it.

The pocketstation was an add on for the PS1 it was a cross between a memory card and the Dreamcast VMU it had little mini games on it when played with certain games. Only came out in Japan I think.
