  • Call of Duty: Ghosts – 39GB
  • Dead Rising 3 – 19GB
  • FIFA 14 – 8GB
  • Fighter Within – 9.2GB
  • Forza Motorsport 5 – 31GB
  • Just Dance 2014 – 22GB
  • Killer Instinct – 3.4GB
  • Lococyle – 13GB
  • Madden NFL 25 – 12GB
  • NBA 2K14 – 43GB
  • NBA Live 14 – 9GB
  • Powerstar Golf – 3.9GB
  • Ryse: Son of Rome – 34GB
  • Skylanders: Swap Force – 15GB
  • Xbox Fitness – 246MB

Sounds like someone is going to need a bigger hard drive, although it'll need to be external as you cannot upgrade the Xbox One internal hard drive at this time.

So if one chose to get all the Xbone titles on launch they are using 340GB of the HDD space.

Zoo Tycoon is tiny compared to the others. Brilliant! Definitely the first game I play :)

Just tallied up the launch games I'm actually getting, and it adds up to 179.4GB . So only 36%. Dammit

Size thing doesn't seem an issue, I only ever play 3-4 games at a similar time and I uninstall once I'm done with it.

Begs the question how do MS recommend using the space on such a small non-upgradable HDD, yes they have said that the Xbox One will support external HDD but have not told us how this will work?? Just hope to god its not like the 360's option for external storage where you can only use 32GB cos thats just stupid!

Yeah, thinking about it, I do the same as jim bob. Will maybe install 3-4 games on there at once at a maximum. Once i'm done I'll take them off. If Xbox games on demand were the same price as retail disc games, I might be downloading them, which would put me in more bother

I'm sure we'll see some Xbox One branded hard drives being released early 2014 for people to throw even more money at! The thing that concerns me more - is the fact I'll be downloading FIFA 14 on day one. When I downloaded the FIFA 14 early access on 360, it took me the best part of 4 hours on a 120mb Virgin connection, connected straight to my router via a Cat5e cable. I can normally download 8gb in less than 10 minutes on my Mac, via WiFi. Hopefully the 5ghz Wireless on the Xbox One, which is the same as my Mac will help, otherwise the 'era of the cloud' will be very a frustrating one!

Isn't this the sizes if you were to digitally download the games, not mandatory installs?

I've read on the net that Xbox one and ps4 can't accept external hard drives at the moment.

......exactly why before I use my PS4 I'm going to install a 1TB Hdd as 500GB is clearly not enough

do these games require install or can you just play disc as on 360 ?

I would say this would be digitally download games, am not sure that guy would have been sent all these games aswell to know the install size! so wouldn't worry about size of the hard drive

I thought you had to install the disc games.

Yeah, the 'install' must be a combination of disc and download from Xbox Live. Otherwise some of these titles will be spread over 3-4 blueray discs!! Ahh, the bad Old days of Final Fantasy, too many discs...not enough game Play!! LoL

No, they scrapped always on, so they must be able to install purely from the disc, and a dual layer Bluray can hold up to 50 GB.

Lets ship consoles with 500Gb hard drives that will be taken up by about 10-15 games if that. I think they should be shipping the consoles with 1Tb hard drives if these games are only the start of this generation I'd hate to see in a couple years time when games start looking better, as this X360/PS3 has, where the X360 had to use 2-3 discs for some games... I'm expecting games taking 100Gb in a few years on the PS4/X1.

Hold on!!! Both machines are 4K compatible!!! I have 4k films and there huge enough. 500gb is not future proof at all... These are pretty much starter systems

I read that sony and Panasonic are already working on 300gb blu ray so don't worry

Yeah I agree the systems will need a T1 later on or more in the future. By then I imagine the systems will be smaller

I asked Xbox Support (via Twitter) about whether or not the Xbox One's would have the same 32gb restrictions regarding external HDDs. Their response was rather odd! https://twitter.com/berianlowe/status/399890319892029440

I am sure I saw in a video interview with Major Nelson that there was not going to be a limit for them. Also he would probably be a better person to ask on twitter rather than xbox support.

Keep in mind their most likely only will be 460 GB available due company calculating 1GB as 1000 MB, while Computer take 1024 MB as 1 GB

Please describe the nature of the abuse:
