Assassin's Creed 4 'Freedom Cry' DLC coming December 17

Assassin Creed 4's single-player DLC 'Freedom Cry' will release on Tuesday, December 17, as per an ad inside the latest issue of Game Informer.

Freedom Cry sees players take on the role of shipmate Adewale and will add an extra 4+ hours of content to the game.

Videogamer notes that logos for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One are featured in the ad, suggesting the DLC will launch on each platform simultaneously. There is currently no word of the DLC for PC, while it's yet to be confirmed for the Wii U.

Are you excited for the 'Freedom Cry' DLC?
