PSN Maintenance to increase handheld account limit

As we reported last week, there will be around eight hours of downtime due to PSN Maintenance today. What we didn't know though is that Sony will use today's PlayStation Network maintenance to raise the number of PSP and Vita systems users can tie to their PSN account.

"This new portable gaming device allotment is in addition to the other network improvements being implemented during this downtime," says a note of the Sony U.S Forums.

Maintenance begins at 4pm in the UK and lasts until around midnight, although you'll still be able to access online gameplay and apps providing that you have recently signed into your PSN account.

PS Store, PS Home and Account Management services will be unavailable.

It looks like the maintenance started a lot earlier than planned here in the uk because I've been unable to log in to PSN since 1:30pm.

@Ross if you go here https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/liquid/login.action sign in with your PSN account, you'll be able to de-activate other systems. Hope that helps.
