Update: Namco has sent over a press release confirming that Tales of Zestiria will be released in Europe at some point in the future as well as providing more information on the game itself.
According to the press release, the PS3 title sees players delve into a grand storyline and discover the “zest” of adventure with brand new characters, magical lands and action-packed gameplay that the ‘Tales of’ franchise is known for from fans around the world.
Namco says that Tales of Zestiria returns to the series roots of a fantasy setting with character designs being handled by all four series designers; Mutsumi Inomata, Kosuke Fujishima, Daigo Okumura, and Minoru Iwamoto. Ufotable Inc. will also return to create the game’s animated cut scenes and opening movie.
“Over the past few years the ‘Tales of’ team has taken great strides to strengthen our relationship with players across North America and Europe,” said ‘Tales of’ series producer Hideo Baba from NAMCO BANDAI Studios. “To respond to their love and support I am honored to open a new chapter of the ‘Tales of’ series together with Japanese and overseas fans.”
Original: Tales of Zestiria has been revealed for PS3 by Namco Bandai.
Namco revealed the game during a Nico Nico stream and promised that it'll update the official Tales of Zestiria webpage in due course.
Tales of Zestiria was trademarked by Namco in the U.S back in September, so this announcement perhaps comes as no surprise.
All we need now is some information on the game, but we're sure that'll be forthcoming soon.
