Original IP's are great, so why do many of them not get the sales numbers they deserve? There are no solid numbers, but it seems Sony owned IP's such as Tearaway, Puppeteer and others don't seem to hit the numbers that the quality suggests they would.
The same goes for many of Sony's original IP's, while games such as Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, FIFA and Battlefield continue to sell each year in the millions without fail. So why is this?
Do people prefer the security of an already established IP? Just why do original games fail? There really are some brilliant titles out there is you take a chance, so why don't people do this?
