It's Tuesday and we now know that Microsoft has already shifted 3 million copies worldwide, while Sony is surely ahead of even this figure. We are guessing this is a worrying trend for Nintendo, who sees its Wii U sitting at just over 5 million consoles sold in a year, although things have been picking up slightly in Japan recently.
There is a new competitor too, thanks to Valve and its range of Steam Machines which will launch later this year. With Steam having over 60 million users this machine is not to be under estimated, although the range of machines coming from different manufacturers could go against the device.
It certainly seems like 2014 is going to be a three way battle between Sony, Microsoft and Valve for space under the TV, although you must never discount Nintendo.
So what to you think? Whose going to be representing your gaming experience in 2014?
