It's Wednesday and we now know that Sony has sold 4.2 million consoles worldwide, while Microsoft has shifted 3 million in the same time period. For those too tired to count this early in the morning, that's 7.2 million next generation consoles in homes already.
It seems then that the new consoles, which are still quite difficult to get hold of in some places, are being well recieved and therefore support in form of games from first party and third party studios are sure to follow in their droves.
The only game releasing this month of note is Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, however things start to kick off in an impressive way starting next month, with the arrival of Thief, followed by a whole clutch of titles in March.
So what do you think? Has the wait been worth it so far and just how many consoles will both of these companies have shifted by the time the financial year ends in April?
