Given Nintendo's situation, it wouldn't surprise me. But those specs are above are pretty ambitious. Giving it a 2.

5. Wii u was being worked on when wii released. Ps4 was worked on when ps3 released. It's obvious there'll be working on something new. 3ds is 3 years old nearly. The specs are clearly fake tho.

All nintendo need to do to turn there situation around is make a console that'll play both 3DS games and Wii-u games in one on a TV.

Of course they are working on one, I don't see a new one coming out anytime soon though.

It's clear the Wii U hasn't done very well and releasing a new console would be very bad. However, some kind of hybrid that takes advantage of the Gamepad seems like a logical move. Though the Wii U should have had similar specs to this in the first place! Will be interesting to see what happens

I fail to see the point in a new Handheld if, the Fusion Terminal have a slot for them, then again as @Turak64 is saying: It would be bad to release a new console already, since it would be like Nintendo saying: Wii U owners... F word you

Clearly Nintendo need to do something ,the new hardware i believe the spec not so much , With the just released figures from the business ill bet that hurried their decision to release earlier than expected .Nintendo need hardware that people buy their game for and the wii u has failed miserably which mean software sales also tank

Wii U has failed miserably? It has a bigger install base than PS4 or Xbone. ;)

Gloria I think it's time you can't to realise the wii-u was a flop and I know I know it's because people like to buy shite as you say.

It's not doing great, but it's not a flop, and the best is yet to come.

I hope so, both amazon and argos have reduced the price of the premium console to £179.99

scratch that it's just argos./

A price cut is a good thing, it'll boost sales. When the Xbone and PS4 get their inevitable price cut, probably by the end of this year, that won't mean they're failing, will it?

No it'll do it more good than harm, if the wii-u had some sort of achievement system i'd be all over that deal like a rash. I know i shouldn't let that stop me but i like to be able to track my gaming accomplishment and compare them to other peoples gaming accomplishment.

Also the gamepad looks abit bulky but i work with someone who isn't much of a gamer but his little brother has one and he said it's comfortable to hold.

Some games do have an achievement system, not an easily comparable one though. I find Miiverse much better than achievements, it's like make your own achievements, do something cool, just take a screenshot of it and post to Miiverse and say something about it. Miiverse is much better than an achievement system IMO, lets you talk to other gamers about the games you're playing, post your opinions, ask for help, etc....

I'm going to have a good think about it and I might take the plunge because there is a lot of exclusives I'm looking to play

Miiverse, coexisting with a trophy system would be best. These price drops mean ill get a wii u on payday.

The question on my mind is how long is the wii-u going to be supported with the current projections?
