Sony set to reveal PlayStation VR device next month

Sony is set to reveal its new PlayStation Virtual Reality headset at GDC in San Francisco next month, according to new reports.

Technology website, Techradar, cites an "inside source” who verified the reveal, adding that they themselves have already tried the device behind closed doors.

"The quality and resolution are really, really good. People will definitely be impressed with what Sony’s built," says the source.

GDC 2014 begins on March 17.

This sounds like it could be pretty exciting, don't you think?

I've bought into enough of these new-tech devices to have learnt my lesson. I'll be waiting for the games/implementation of the tech before I invest this time.

I really don't like the way gaming is going...

Is this what the whole "MOST EXCITING COVER FOR OPM" is all about? It did mention something about a "massive significance" being revealed for the PS4.

gaming goes downhill from here.
JoeToots 6 months ago
Why do you think that Toots?
Loli-Nox-Tan 6 months ago
That's just my opinion.
JoeToots 6 months ago
@Ashley, Don't think its the OPM reveal as they mentioned a "series" coming to PS4 as the big deal. @Toots, Don't be such a pessimist, it could go well... but it probably wont. Its just another accessory. Kinect and Eye both did their thing and people lost interest but good games continue to be made

@RTLF like it said it's MY opinion and i think it's going to be shit. Again that is MY opinion. Just to clear things up that's MY opinion. Need me to say it's MY opinion again. As it sunk in that it's MY opinion?
JoeToots 6 months ago
Don't be so quick to write it off. Everyone (Who has an opinion I respect) swears by it

I will never be going down this route, you won't see me comment negatively on many things on shopto but this is one i feel will be the end of gaming for me.
JoeToots 6 months ago
Why?
Loli-Nox-Tan 6 months ago
@Toots, Calm down, I was actually referring to your "gaming goes downhill from here" comment. The bit I said about whether it'll do well or not was an afterthought
RTLF 6 months ago
If it is 100% optional then i'll accept it. Aslong as it isn't forced on us like microsoft seems to be attempting to do with kinect then i have no issues with it.
JoeToots 6 months ago
It is 100% optional. Btw I was talking about the Rift and not the Sony HMD
Loli-Nox-Tan 6 months ago
What makes you think it'd be forced? its an accessory for the PS4, a console that already exists and is sold on its own
RTLF 6 months ago
Also comparing a HMD to a Kinect or PS Eye is weird
Loli-Nox-Tan 6 months ago
fuck this i'm done with this place.
JoeToots 6 months ago
YEAH! We finally done it, a pat on the back for everyone here
Loli-Nox-Tan 6 months ago
Wasn't comparing them in that sense, more in the way that they're console accessories
RTLF 6 months ago
Time of the month? :)
RTLF 6 months ago
Yes. I'm stuck in a rut at the moment and little things are getting under my skin.
JoeToots 6 months ago
Calm down dear ;)

This is infinitely more preferable to having some games out for the system. Can't wait. It'll bring back memories of the Virtual Boy. Only with less games
