This week's Japanese Charts make for very interesting reading.
For the first time in a long time, 3DS is not actually top for sales, that honour goes PS4 which according to Media Create sold 309,154 units in its first two days on sale. That's short of Famitsu's estimate of over 325,000, but still very impressive.
Perhaps even more impressive is that Knack sold 309,304 units, although other PS4 software seemed to perform slightly worse. It's worth noting that a) Knack was packed in PS4 units and b) Media Create does not count digital sales.
Elsewhere this week, 3DS still managed to sell over 31,000 units, while Vita sales remain fairly strong at over 18,000 units.
Next's week's charts should be more interesting in terms of PS4 as it will give us a better idea of how its been received over the opening week.
Finally a note on the Wii U. It has now overtaken the total sales of Xbox 360 in Japan. So that's something.
