Opinions, we all have them, although if you head over to places like Neogaf you'll soon find out that it's wrong to have an opinion unless you agree with the masses.
I have opinions, for instance I worried that Respawn Entertainment and EA were very quiet regarding the on-disc content of Titanfall. In fact we still don't know that much apart from what's leaked (which is far from officially confirmed) and perhaps even more concerning for me is that Vince Zampella has given some detail on the two hour 'multiplayer campaign.'
This 'multiplayer campaign' worries me. Apparently it consists of the multiplayer matches you will play normally, stitched together with cutscenes. Zampella says, "Generally people will burn through a single-player campaign as fast as they can ..." almost as if this is a good excuse not to put any effort into one. But what about the players who enjoy single player campaigns, like me? Does overlooking a campaign not set a dangerous precedent? What happens if Titanfall is the most successful franchise ever and everyone decides to copy its formula, does this mean that single player campaigns in FPS games will be lost forever?
I for one hope that there is more to the Titanfall campaign than it seems. I also hope that the leaked maps and content which everyone expects to be on the disc make an appearance at launch and not as part of the season pass which has also been confirmed.
Some people say I should just not worry my head about these things, but I do because I care.
I've questioned the hype of this game on many occasions and I just hope that people are not setting themselves up for a fall. I want all games to be a huge success, because that way our industry grows and we'll get even bigger and better games.
Like I say, we all have opinions. What's yours?
