Xbox One sales boosted by Titanfall Bundle and price cut

EA’s ‘Titanfall’ landing last week, combined with the recently announced price cut, gave Xbox One hardware a huge boost compared to last week, seeing a 96% jump in sales thanks largely to the new Titanfall bundle which accounted for over 70% of all Xbox One hardware sold this week.

The new IP is also EA’s first No.1 title that wasn’t a FIFA game, stretching back more than a year to when Crysis 3 held the crown in the first week of March 2013.

So what do you make of this news?

Can Titanfall sustain its sales over time? There is still the Xbox 360 version to come out after all. Also do you think this Xbox One sales boost is simply due to the game being bundled and released in the same week, or do you think the game will continue to drive Xbox One sales?

I just love how solid the gameplay feels. For a big online only game as well I was expecting more server issues but I have had none over 12 hours of playing.

Fair enough I thought you had it already. When you are first setting your xbox up it stops on a screen for a while that makes it look like it has frozen but it has not just takes a wee while for the initial set up.

I'll keep it in mind.

According to VGChartz, who are the best we have for a basic number, if it's right, XBOX were selling 16,000 in Europe before. Now they'll be in to the 30's you'd think, which is only good news.

I really wouldn't listen to VGChartz, trust me.

They're usually just off NPD data so unless I can guarantee another source, I'll take it as a decent estimate.
