Your Podcast Questions - Episode 20

It's almost time for episode 20 of the ShopTo podcast, so do you have any questions?

This week we'll be discussing indie, single player and multiplayer games and what part they play in our industry. Do you prefer indie titles, big budget single player titles or online only games or do you manage to squeeze in time for all?

Speaking of time, we'll also be discussing our favourite time to play games and be asking how people manage to make time for them.

We'll also have some other subjects to talk about, although we'd love it if you could tell us what you'd like us to discuss. Also if you have any questions then we'd love to try and answer them.

As always, this is your podcast, so if you have any suggestions for the format or anything else then please let us know below.

Also what are your thoughts on metacritic as a new medium for fanboyitis to rear its ugly head? I speak mainly in regard to the cases of the user reviews on Titanfall and Infamous SS, people who obviously haven't played a game giving it a zero and saying its awful just to bring down its score... pretty desperate and ridiculous? or is it just me?

What is your take on the release schedule for games. We always get everything being released in the last few months of the year for the holiday season. For example in March we've had South Park, Titanfall, Dark Souls 2, Metal Gear Ground Zeros and Infamous Second Son. Yet there's no releases in April as far as I can see. In fact the next big releases are Watch Dogs and Mario Kart at the end of May. Basically the game schedule is like buses, none for ages, then they all arrive at the same time! Surely some games would get better sales if they released at quieter periods of the year.

There is hardly any AAA releases but XBL, PSN & Eshop should have a few games coming out in that time. PS: Steam gets new games every day ....... PC MASTER RACE!!!!!!!11

Yeah releasing in a quiet time can get extra sales take Sleeping Dogs that did so well as it released when nothing else was around so I would say Summer is the best time to release a new IP.

Most Publishers want their game to rule the festive season but the thing they keep on failing to understand year in year out is that Call of Duty & Battlefield rule the festive season

Please describe the nature of the abuse:
