Kinect 2 for Windows revealed

Microsoft has unveiled Kinect 2 for Windows and to some, it may looks a little familiar.

As you can see, the device bares a striking resemblance to Kinect One, although the final form has a Kinect logo on top and has a power indicator on the face, rather than the Xbox symbol.

The windows unit also requires it's own power source, in addition to a USB 3.0 connector in order to hook it up to your PC.

Currently there is no release date for the device, although Microsoft says that it is “getting closer and closer to launch."

how long until an adapter comes out then?... i want to see the cool creations people make with it, like they did with the original Kinect.
