So once again Sony want to tell us how many are on board, self publishers etc, how about they start releasing some "next gen" titles instead of the constant ... "It's coming soon" ... "Big surprises ahead" ... getting boring now.

aha what a surprise to see this comment, always with the PS pessimism... yet you seem to be absolutely excited about MS's version of *Big surprises ahead* regarding E3... so what have they offered up that's so amazing to this point?

RTLF lets not get into the fan boy wars because you getting involved is just as bad as the original comment and essentially the original comment has achieved what he set out to do and got someone to bite. At the end of the day we are gamers and all should be happy at whatever gets released.

Define "Next Gen"

Fair enough Toots I take that on board, all I'll say in my defence though is it wasn't a fanboy thing, wasn't arguing over what's better... he just constantly appears on posts regarding PS news with negative and pessimistic comments then on MS related articles pops up saying he's excited for it. To not look like a fanboy himself his fav comment starter is: "don't get me wrong, I love my PS4... but..." and continues to slag it off :D

To be fair, there's nothing to get too excited about on, or coming to anytime soon, the PS4. Can say the exact same thing about the Xbone too.

@ RTLF Is this your "PS Defence" mode kicking it asking "What MS has offered that's so amazing?" .. Who mentioned anything about MS? lol .. Don't forget my comment is based on "my" thoughts, I can't speak for others. Being a PS4 owner "personally" I'm just getting a little bored of Sony harping on about ... "How many developers they have" ... "The titles are coming" ... but it seems it's getting like the PS3 era, loads of talk but not many games worth talking about ( regarding my preference in games ) all the so called "AAA" games are either a good way off, being delayed or in the case of Drive Club ( a title I REALLY want ) there's talk of it having "Gone back to the drawing board" so yes I'm personally getting bored/fed up with the same "Words" from Sony but their famous for this type of thing ( Microsoft are no better in another sense ) As for Microsoft's BIG E3 announcement, excited? not really, interested to what it is? definitely. As for being a fanboy, are you automatically a fanboy if you prefer one console over the other? Yes I much prefer the Xbox One over the PS4, it has the better line up of games released and yet to be released ( Don't forget that's on my own preference in games ) better controller, the XB1 pad just suits my big clumsy hands better, for me Xbox LIVE offers the better online experience than PSN ( Even though PSN offers the best value for money with the free games for PS+ members ) The difference between me and the average fanboy though is I accept everyone is different but if this all still makes me a "Xbox One Fanboy" then I'll live with it, I've been called worse lol. Anyway, when the wife is ready we are off on a 5 day holiday, have a great weekend all and happy gaming :-)

The console was just released a few month ago so of course there is a shortage of games. On on the topic of them saying "The titles are coming", believe it or not but it takes a long time to develop a game ...... Shocking, I know

I pretty much agree with Old Timer, and why I have had no desire to get a PS4 yet. Xbox ONE has more exclusives than PS4, and Drive Club was supposed to be a launch title, then delayed until Feb/March and now "back to the drawing board" - ridiculous. The way things are going now, next gen consoles are not going to cut it, as the devs seem to get more profit from mobile gaming / apps. The power and size of the consoles takes too much time and money (which companies do not seem to have much of these days) to get the best of them. Even with the success of PS4, Sony still had to get rid of staff. The attraction for me to Xbox ONE was also the TV aspect - TV and movies still seem to be going strong, whereas console gaming seems to be dying - no where (worthwhile) to rent games from (although PS4 has potential) but each day there is new places to rent / view TV shows and movies, so if gaming on consoles dies off then the Xbox ONE will have its TV services. Xbox ONE may end up being the last new console I ever buy, unless things radically turn around, or the next new console is backwards compatible with everything (the PS5 is BC with PS1-4, the next Xbox compatible with Xbox, 360 and ONE games), . PC is the way forward, as can play the games on many different systems, not just a big desktop - laptop, tablet, Steam machine, and even the latest PC can still play most games from the past 20 years. The Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 are the last best consoles there will be. When I recently went back to play some Xbox games you could immediately see the difference between that and Xbox 360 and think how could I play the games on Xbox they were so lame, but when going back to Xbox 360 from playing Xbox ONE, I do not think they are lame at all. PS2/Xbox to PS3/Xbox 360 is like going from record to CD or Video Tape to DVD, but PS3/Xbox 360 to PS4/Xbox ONE is like going from DVD to Blu Ray, where DVD is still going strong because Blu Ray was not awesome enough to kill it.

In reply to your comments. It takes time to make a game and would you rather Driveclub was released as a shite game or would you rather they took as much time as they need to get it to the standard they want?

Fair enough, there is Potentially more return on investment in Mobile gaming but it is a fickle thing, one day it might be the most popular game on the planet and the next everyone has moved on.

Tbh I don't think we will see a new Xbox in the next cycle, PS5 is maybe & a new Nintendo console is a certainty. PC Gaming is getting more popular as time goes on & it is also cheaper to make a game for PC

Finally DVD Vs Blu-ray. We people who buy Blu-ray know that they are way better than DVD but some people are still uneducated. The main reasons that they don't see the benefits of Blu-ray are. 1: They look the same as in they are both disk based, VHS to DVD had a visual difference. 2: Believe it or not but there are still some people out there who have SD displays. 3: Most people who do get HD displays only get HD Ready as opposed to Full HD, so they aren't seeing much difference between DVD upscaled and Blu-ray

If the delay makes the game ACTUALLY better then sure, but as the PS4 did not have many games at launch, then it needed Driveclub. It may have just gotten delayed because they transferred devs to focus on something else, or maybe it is because they had to get rid of staff or they do not think it is the right time to release it. They can take as long as they like, as long as they give more accurate ETAs. The delay from Nov to Feb/March was annoying but understandable, but the delay from Feb/March to whenever, maybe 2015 when originally was going to be launch, is ridiculous. The best thing was not to have given it a release date for launch - they should know how long it takes to make their game, but the release window now is so huge its ridiculous. As for DVD vs Blu Ray thing, I have bought both versions (xbox ONE and 360) of some games, with Thief, MGS Ground Zeroes, NFS Rivals, and there is not much difference between the two and need to play both side by side to see the difference. Zoo tycoon there is a difference as there are reduced features on the Xbox 360 version, which I am sure it could have had, but I bet MS wanted people to want the Xbox ONE version. My TV can only do 1080i (not 1080p) so I will not benefit from PS4 enhancements over Xbox ONE - which is the . I bought my TV earlier than planned, in about 2009, as my old widescreen CRT broke and needed a new one. One year later TVs with 1080p were a lot cheaper, and that is when I would have gotten a new one. I doubt I will need a new TV for a few years yet, although thinking of getting one with 3D anyway. It is the reason why Nintendo did not put effort into making better consoles, and probably why MS did the same for Xbox ONE - If people will rather play games like Minecraft than play games with awesome visuals and sound, that costs way more to develop, then why bother?

Every time I think I take console warrior arguments too seriously, it's usually always a relief to pop back here and read some posts by Tony and Old Timer (among others) and realise I'm not so far gone yet :)

I for one am happy to wait we have already had a hand full of next gen titles and im glad I got the ps4 and not the bone as it is in such a mess ever before it was released with DRM ,used games , online issues , 4chan hacking it ,720p ,no free games ,Kinect, the endless MS lies and now this new one about all the xbox management being sack and replaced with nokia im not touching bone with 10 ft barge pole and Im sorry but the ps4 have been brilliant since day one and looks to only get better I think we can let them off for showing off

If I had a PS4 there would be ZERO difference to the Xbox ONE versions due to my TV not being Full HD, so the PS4 versions would still not be much better to the Xbox 360 versions. If I had a Full HD then there would be differences between Xbox ONE and PS4, and then only if you had it side by side to see.

I will get one when my current one dies, I am not ready to get a new TV yet, and I do not think it is worth the money for a slight improvement, nor do I have the money for it yet either. To get the most out of the PS4 I will need a new TV so when I see about buying a PS4, I do not see £350 but £350 plus the cost of a Full HD display, and that is a lot of money.

there's alot of factors to take into consideration distance away where it's going to go also size of the room.. where i game atm ideal size is 32 but if i was to game in my living room i'd say 60.

That's almost the same as playing a game or watching a movie that is 4:3 & you stretch it to 16.9, it makes the image look terrible

I have a 47' Full HD Samsung flat screen and my sofa is just over 6 feet away from it, the balance feels spot on. Blu-Rays, HD Channels, PS4 & PS3 etc. look beautiful although anything SD looks crappy unfortunately

So I take it while playing a game you never just stop, look of into the distance and think to yourself "God, that is beautiful"
