The Last of Us all but confirmed for PS4 by Spanish retailer?

The Last of Us has already been confirmed for release by Sony PlayStation's Eurasian Software Market Manager, Sercan Sulun, and now these claims seem to have been backed up by a Spanish retail site.

Extra life Spain has listed up the game, giving a release of June 19, 2014 and although the box art looks pretty much made up,  perhaps what has convinced us to write this story is that the website has a bonus item for those pre-ordering - one of two The Last of Us bags, each coming in a different colour (although Colin seems convinced that these have been around since The Last of Us PS3).

Fake or real, It does seem now like The Last of Us will be coming to PS4 and while the date on this site could be wrong, we're pretty confident that we'll be hearing something soon regarding an official announcement from Sony Europe.

Wouldn't it have made a nice E3 surprise though?

If that's the Pre-Order bonus over here too then I will definitely buy it again.

Game is pretty enough on PS3. Why waste resources instead of making next Uncharted?

Since systems aren't compatible - No, it's not.

What do you mean by that? The game was developed on a PC, so at some point in the games life it was fully running on a PC & it would be easier to port it over considering the PS4 is closer to PC architecture

Hence easy money. Little risk, huge pay-off

the PS3 devkit is quite different from the PS4 one, the games run on the devkits, not natively on PC. whilst it's not as complex as developing a game from scratch, it's not a trivial matter to port stuff from PS3 to PS4 either, since cell and x86 are quite different. naughty dog have been in the process of porting their engine to PS4 for a while in order to make UC4, so this could be a test for that. but since the source of the information is some turkish marketing manager, i'm a bit sceptical TLoU on PS4 is going to happen. :-/

I know it doesn't run natively but it is a start & plus you just said that they have been porting their engine to to PS4 for a while, I assume that this was finished quite a bit before the Uncharted 4 announcement

Easy money is correct. I mean, there are plenty of players that have moved over from Xbox. They didn't get to play this, so it's great for them. If it's graphically superior, I'm sure there will be plenty that will want to experience it again on the PS4.

That is one of the things I meant & it barely takes any work porting over a game Vs making a whole new game
