Shadow of Mordor shown off in new story trailer

From the little we've seen, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is shaping up to be the Lord of the Rings title that we've been waiting on.

Shadow of Mordor is set between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Middle-earth and begins on the night of Sauron’s return to Mordor, which in turn throws the region into turmoil.

Included within the game is a new Nemesis System, a next-gen feature that remembers the players’ every move, which Warner says, will shape unique gameplay experiences and relationships that react and adapt to every player choice. Players also have access to Wraith Powers to orchestrate and execute their vengeance to outwit enemies, infiltrate the ranks, and dominate within an adaptive world.

We can't wait to find out more, but in the meantime, we can let you know that the open world Fantasy RPG is coming to PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 7 in the U.S, UK and Europe.
