Tuesday Chat: April 8

It's Tuesday and a quiet news week already. We've had the charts, which hardly set the world alight with excitement and we got some news about Pokemon X&Y selling over 12 million units, which seems a decent achievement.

Nintendo only wish that it could find a whole set of titles for the Wii U that would see sales finally pick up. It's already been passed in worldwide sales by PS4, despite the latter being released a year later and it's likely that the Xbox One will eventually pass it by too.

Mario Kart 8 is on the way of course and it does look fantastic, but can it really spark a Wii U sales revolution? It seems unlikely. So what can Nintendo do? What sort of surprises at E3 would really grab people's attention?

Let's Chat!

Mario Kart and Smash Bros will make a difference, especially if they can get Smash Bros out before the end of the summer. I reckon there will be something big at E3, Miyamoto has been working on something for while, and retro have probably started on their next game by now, and there could be all sorts of other stuff in the works, Nintendo do keep their cards pretty close to their chest most the time.

Don't particularly care about sales figures. I just want Nintendo to continue making great games.

I still think Nintendo make the best games overall, well a lot better than some of the so called "AAA" games being released for the latest consoles.

Mario Kart will get a lot of people from the Wii era to upgrade to the Wii U and Smash will get most of the people holding off to get a Wii U
