Early access for Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn now live on PS4

Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn for the PlayStation 4 is now live. In addition, the PS4 Upgrade Function for existing PlayStation 3 players also begins today.

In addition, cross-gen upgrades are also now available via the Mog Station.

Square has advised that you don’t need to buy the PS4 version to upgrade from PS3, although once the PS3 to PS4 transfer is complete, it can't be undone.

To activate the upgrade, you have to register your PS3 build to your Final Fantasy 14 service account then visit the Mog Station to initiate the switch. At this point all of your data will be switched to PS4.

I tried the beta and couldn't really get to grips with the controls though it can be used with mouse and keyboard but will stick to the PC version for now.

Are the controls the same as the PS3 version? I found the controls awkward as hell with playing the Beta, so much so I dug out my old K&M

Yeah though you have the touch pad that works as a mouse pinter as well. It could be ok if you are going DPS i reckon but for Healer or Tank where you have to change targets all the time it will get annoying. I might use the remote play on vita so I can go mining and stuff while watching something on tv though.

I hate touchpads and I have no idea how people can use them
