GRID Autosport outed ahead of official announce *update*

Update: Codemasters has now confirmed this news and also released a brand new trailer to celebrate.

“While we were patching GRID 2 and releasing new content, we were busy gathering feedback. We devoured the comment threads under articles about GRID 2 on gaming websites, took stock of our reviews, and of course, digested all the comments on our social channels and forums where we received direct feedback. It’s this feedback that helped create GRID Autosport.

“If GRID 2 raced off into a more narrative-led world of racing with more accessible controls, it’s clear that for many of you, that wasn’t what you wanted or expected from GRID 2. So with GRID Autosport we had the opportunity to make a much more focussed motorsport game, a desire that many of you have expressed directly to us, and a game that in spirit goes back to some of our earlier titles in terms of content and handling.”

What do you think?

Codemasters will bring GRID: Autosport to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in just a few months time according to BrazilGamer.

The site, which is the Brazilian arm of Eurogamer, suggests that GRID: Autosport will release in June and have the most content of any GRID game to date, while still including all past content. New features in the game include the likes of long night drives and the much sought after cockpit view.

As per previous games, GRID: Autosport will include a full career mode, online play, weekly challenges and raceNet leaderboards. The game will also include five styles of racing, 22 locations and over 100 tracks.

Are you excited for this? What do you think of it apparently missing the PS4 and Xbox One?

does sound good, but at this stage, i'm culling back on 360 purchases, in favour of the X1, which, truth be told, i'm not far off of having every game for

@ Im Going Space, I haven't purchased a 360 title since having the Xbox One lol, got quite nice collection myself now, mostly digital games. I hope we get an announcement from Codemasters soon about some next generation racing titles, as much as I love Forza 5 ( 168 hours played time now ) the console needs some more racers, I tried NFS but really couldn't get on with that. Mind you, Project Cars is looking/sounding very good indeed.

Fight Within and Just Dance I think are fun, more so when your playing with friends/family, after a few beers, glasses of wine type of affair.
