Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare gets micro-transactions this week

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is to get real-world money micro-transactions added in this week.

Using your cash, you'll be able to purchase in-game money which you can spend on new packs and characters.

"Starting next week, players will be given the option to purchase coins from the Sticker Shop, which allows players the ability to access new packs and character content more quickly - all the same content that can be earned through regular gameplay," producer Brian Lindley explained.

"Now you have the choice to play your way; you can play to get new packs and content via earned coins in the game, or you can purchase coins to get more of the packs and content you want right away."

Garden Warfare is currently an Xbox exclusive, although a PlayStation and PC version is expected to be announced soon.

So what if they add micro transactions. If they reduced the amount of coins you earn in a game then that would be bad but if not you don't have to pay a penny. Also let's not forget that they have given free content updates with new chars, maps, abilities and customization options. I'm still loving this game which I play more than Titanfall.

You are missing the point.

Getting the MT system in place just before the PC/PS versions are set for announcement? Quite the scam EA.

So when the game launches on the other platforms some people will be running about with every unlockable & upgrade available in the space of 5 min. Not pay to win at all
