Games are great, but at the same time, sometimes they are not so great. So when do you know when you've had enough?

I think a few hours is enough time to judge a game really, if I haven't started to enjoy it after that long it's a pretty safe bet it's not for me, and probably not any good either.

If a game doesn't grip me in the first 20 mins or so then it's sold. I've probably missed out on so many gems because i haveb't given them enough of a chance but that's life.

My gut instinct is usually a good bet. I normally know straight away if I'm not 'feeling' the game as to whether I will like it or not. But a couple of hours is probably about right.

alot of it comes down to pricing of a game, if pick up a game for £20 i instantly think not to get my hopes up so i go through it abit but if it is a new release at full whack £40-£45 i expect to be blown away.

i usually give a good few hours first now, ive had a few i hated at the start then found they were really good, but ive gotten rid of a lot i thought i would like then thought they were shite

One game I picked up cheap that turned out to be a fantastic game was Singularity. Whereas high expectations that failed was obviously the disaster that is A:CM

Little things can put me off a game like that robot spider thingy in watch dogs.
Dave 'BubbaJai' Aston 1 year ago
The main thing that puts me off is constant repetition
JoeToots 1 year ago
i don't mind repetition in a game because i'm such a slow gamer. heck i've been playing assassins creed for nearly 3 months and i'm only up to sequence 7.

But if a game really grips me i'll play for ages.. GTA TLOU was the last games to do that to me.
Dave 'BubbaJai' Aston 1 year ago
@ least with AC you can play around doing other things to break up the game. GTA was good, not great for me and TLOU I couldn't stop playing. Another great game was Far Cry 3, so much to do, especially with the hunting
JoeToots 1 year ago
The thing with AC is i'm enjoying it on land but not so much on the sea..
Dave 'BubbaJai' Aston 1 year ago
I probably spent equal amount of time doing both. Especially hunting materials for upgrades and collecting Man O' Wars for my fleet

Loading times are ridiculous.
JoeToots 1 year ago
unless it was just retail which was pushed back and there has been a miscommunication somewhere.

My cut of point for a RPG is 2-3 hours, for a 3rd person it is 1 hour & for a FPS, Indie & platformer it is 30 min

safe to say spiderman is not gonna be a day one then

Anyone else get Child of Light Deluxe Edition today? Am massively disappointed in it. Box came badly damaged and you don't even get a Physical Copy of the game (no mention of this on the sales page.) so basically its already worthless before I even open it. If I'd known I woulda just got the Wii U version from the e-shop

Ubisoft strike again.

Im also pointing the blame at Shopto since at no point on Shopto's page does it say this is a digital only title. Nor does it say on the box actually XD
RTLF 1 year ago
Got mine today too, I see what you're saying about it not being clear on the sales page... I did know from the beginning however that the game itself was a digital code, I thought it was quite clear when pre-ordering it, maybe ShopTo changed the text in the "Description" tab since then? It does also say clearly on the front of the box at the bottom "Full game download. No disc."
RTLF 1 year ago
Actually look on the sales page: http://www.shopto.net/microsite/child_of_light_ps3_ps4_pc It clearly says "Digital version of the game" and you can see it written at the bottom of the box like i said
Loli-Nox-Tan 1 year ago
I'm the same as RTLF, I knew it was only a digital version
Loli-Nox-Tan 1 year ago
It has always said it was a Digital version of the game since it was announced
JoeToots 1 year ago
I think it's just a case of not reading the description and presuming you know what is included.
Loli-Nox-Tan 1 year ago
I'm sure every single report on the Deluxe Edition mentioned it was a code
Gloria 1 year ago
It was a pretty stupid idea doing a boxed version of a digital game anyway.
RTLF 1 year ago
How else were they supposed to do it Gloria? It's not like you can download the Deluxe edition accessories along with the game...
Gloria 1 year ago
They could have put the game on a disk for it.
