Stealth Inc 2 announced for Wii U

Stealth Inc 2 has been announced for the Wii U.

In this latest title, players return to the dark corridors of PTi Industries, but this time they aren’t limited to test chambers – they have full run of the facility, breaking into chambers and exploring an open world, employing brand new equipment in a quest to save fellow clones from human experimentation. For the first time, the game will also include co-operative gameplay via the Wii U GamePad.

Stealth Inc creator and Game Director on the project, Jonathan Biddle, said: “We’ve relished revisiting the world of Stealth Inc. It’s given us the chance to really fine tune the Stealth Inc experience, while also hugely expanding it with the addition of a larger explorable game world, and a more involved narrative.”

Stealth Inc 2 is due out for Nintendo’s Wii U system in 2014.

Cool, nice that it's exclusive too.

I could understand releasing it on Wii U, but making it exclusive to Wii U makes exactly zero sense, even though it is likely not going to be exclusive for long. First game never got released on Wii U, Wii U is yet to prove itself a platform where indie titles can find genuine success... Can't get my head around the logic at play here at all.

It doesn't take a lot for an Indie title to be successful in the first place

So his reasoning is basically that there's pretty much nothing to compete with on Wii U, so they'll get more attention? That does make sense, but it's the part where they push all the platforms the first game was so successful on to the back of the release queue I can't understand. If it's a manpower issue (Unlikely considering they were able to develop the PS3/PS4/Vita versions at once previously) then releasing it on Steam first would have made the most sense. Only conclusion I can come to is that Nintendo must have started buying timed exclusivity for these sorts of games now.

If you have seen the state of Steam in the past few months you would know why they aren't releasing on it first & with Sony backing a whole load of Indies, Stealth Bastard 2 (I refuse to call in Inc) would get more exposer on the WiiU, then the hype will start building up for the other releases. All in all the WiiU version will probably (Definitely) be the lowest grossing version but they should make more money in the long run. That and people double dipping/timed money

In the past few months you haven't been able to compete on Steam since as soon as you release you will be kicked of the front page right away by all the crap Valve are letting on the the service
