EA signs new deal with Respawn Entertainment

Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment has signed a new deal with EA which will see it develop more games in the series and keep the franchise fresh with new experiences.

During EA's latest financial call last night’s call, EA's CEO Andrew Wilson said, “We’re excited to announce that EA is continuing its partnership with Vince Zampella and the Respawn Entertainment team, building on our success in delivering Titanfall, the biggest interactive entertainment event of the year so far. Through a new publishing agreement, we’ll be working with Respawn to bring new Titanfall experiences to players worldwide.

“We obviously have three [map packs] planned. On top of that, we’re doing the season pass as well, which is keeping the engagement levels there and our goal, quite frankly, is to keep this franchise as fresh as we do with our Ultimate Team and our Sports, as well as we do in Battlefield, obviously, with Premium.”

There is no word on a sequel at the moment and it's likely that we won't see one for quite some time. It seems odds on though that any sequel will be multiplatform this time around and therefore include a PlayStation release.

Hopefully any sequels will be on the PS4 as well, the more that get to play it the better. They need to add more depth to the game and a decent single player story as well though.

Don't mass spawn sequels. Make a game last for once!

Rule 101: Never ever sign with EA. Watch this get milked more than the Call of Duty Franchise

I didn't like (even watching) Titanfall, but imo they should not have this as another annual release. At best it should be every other year, that way they have more time to think about each game to keep it new & fresh
