Wolfenstein: The New Order stomps it's way to the top of the UK charts

Mond, mond, ja, ja! Wolfenstein: The New Order has shot straight to the top of the UK charts, knocking FIFA off it's perch with two weeks until the World Cup.

UKIE also confirmed that Wolfenstein: The New Order was the second biggest game launch of 2014 so far, just falling behind Titanfall, which came out on Microsoft consoles and PC earlier this year. The Nazi murder simulator accounted for a quarter of all entertainment sold in the UK last week.

Here's the UK Top 10 Games Chart

  1. Wolfenstein: The New Order
  2. Minecraft: PS3 Edition
  3. FIFA 14
  4. Titanfall
  5. 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil
  6. Call of Duty: Ghosts
  7. Minecaft: Xbox 360 Edition
  8. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
  9. Battlefield 4
  10. The LEGO Movie Videogame

If the PS3 version is like the 360 version of minecraft iw will never leave the charts. I reckon Watch Dogs will take the top spot next week but its good to see wolfenstein up there.

Watch Dogs will be number one or two next week depending on which chart you look at, no single version of it will outsell MK8.

I'm hearing/seeing a lot of chat with people asking if the Wii can play Mario Kart 8 so we will see what happens next week

Yea Minecraft is never gonna leave the charts. I was in my Local Asda a few days ago and the book that was getting special treatment was a Minecraft book/guide/something

I can see there being very real tears next week if Mario Kart fails to reach number 1.

I'm surprised ghosts is still in the top 10 after all this time and people's reception of it, think it went down in price quicker than any other CoD title. Wolfenstein seems strong but I wonder how long it will stay in the top 10 for?
