The Order: 1886 delayed until Early 2015

Sony and developer Ready At Dawn have announced that upcoming PS4 historical cover based shooter has been by a few months and misses out on a 2014 release.

"As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game," stated a Sony spokesperson to the gaming website, Polygon. "As such, you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015."

It leaves the list of Playstation 4 exclusives hitting this Winter looking a little sparse.

That is really, really annoying. Was looking forward to this. I know the latter half of 2014 is already packed with third party releases on PS4, but if Sony don't have at least one first party release besides Driveclub ready, then I think it's fair to say that the recent mass restructuring has hit their studios/projects a lot harder than it initially appeared. If only Project Beast could make it out this year :(

The more work they do on it the better really, just looks like an average cover shooter from what they've shown so far.

Sony should just go software only

If they want to go bankrupt.

Why should they go software only when they have the best selling hardware on the market?

I wasn't trying to jump down anyone's throat, if it was a joke, I simply didn't get it. "Sony don't have the 3DS" - PS4 sales were well above 3DS sales on the last NPD report in the US last I looked. 3DS HW sales are down year on year in addition to this, so I fail to see what you're driving at.

If it makes the game better then it is good in the long run, but there are lots of other games released towards the end of the year but hardly any in terms of Sony exclusives which is a bit of a let down. I know there is Driveclub but personally I'm not interested in it as I don't like driving games.

Pretty sure the 3DS has sold more units than the PS4.

I don't remember reading a particular date but I've seen it mentioned that it was due "Late 2015". I can't say it was a title that screamed to me .. "A must buy" To be fair though I've seen/read very little of it but it looked interesting. From the few videos I saw it sort of reminded me of Gears of War, well the way character moved, fired, went into cover.

Perhaps Sony shifted something around.. I doubt that TLoU Remastered and Drive Club are Sony's only First Parties games left for 2014, surely?

I don't mind that it got delayed at all. Gives them more time to improve on an already nice looking game.
