Report: Titanfall 2 in planning stages, will come to Xbox One and PS4

This story is a little ridiculous, but let's go with it anyway.

It's being reported that Titanfall 2 is currently in the planning stages and upon release will arrive on Xbox One and PS4.

This seems like a rather obvious assumption, however a source close the game's development team told Gamespot all about it in any case.

There's no word yet on when it might be released, but don't expect it anytime soon, as EA continues to support the original Titanfall with new DLC and given that it'll no doubt take around two or three years to develop the new title, we are guessing that it'll be at least 2016 before we see it.

So there we go PlayStation fans, you might see the game arrive on your system one day after all, even though you kind of knew that already.

There's a surprise. Good game and a lot of fun with friends but no-way would I buy another unless it really changes and doesn't turn into another COD, same after same each time.

They need to add more of a single player to the game and more team based game modes there just is not enough team work.

Maybe if they remember to add the missing half of the game and actually get it running at the 60fps they made such a song and dance about pre-release of the first game I'll give it a chance. However, more likely I could see this being little more than an incremental update that's still multiplayer only, which isn't something I'd be prepared to pay full retail pricing for.

I was disappointed with Titanfall. I felt the story was poor and wasn't really a campaign mode. I think it could make a good single player game but I doubt that will happen. And like Zombie says, not enough team work, it's almost a single player in a multiplayer map.

The gameplay itself was solid the shooting and free running were really good and the titan's were pretty fun just a shame about the rest.

I know it isn't prerequisite for everyone, but I tend to struggle with the idea of a game without a strong single-player component. So, hopefully Titanfall 2 will expand on it's very limited single-player experience as that would certainly tempt me into investing in a copy :)
