Splatoon will include 'one-on-one' multiplayer

Nitnendo's Splatoon will include both single-player and local multiplayer modes.

Speaking to Game Rant, Producer Hisashi Nogami said that the game will offer many game modes, including a single-player mode and a "one-on-one multiplayer mode that can be played without connecting to the internet."

"What we can tell you about the one-on-one, at least, is that one player will be using the GamePad, one player will be using the Pro Controller," Nogami said. "And we're actually thinking of having that one-on-one mode be something kind of completely different from the four-on-four one where it'll be, you know, kind of a lot more stalking and hiding in the ink. It'll be much more like a quiet mode in a sense."

Is Splatoon a game which has grabbed your attention so far?

So far it's on my 'to buy' list though I would like to see more videos showing the modes etc.

It looks like a fun game, but I don't think I'd be willing to pay that much for it. Seems more like a £25 game if you ask me.

I'm really interested in this game but will wait and see what price is like when it's released. Looks like a great game but doubt it's worth £40 though.

I'm sold on the innovation and art style alone - for me, this was a definite highlight of E3. What Nintendo needs to do is outline their long term plan for keeping online community for the title alive.

Looks like a game the little one would love. However I doubt I would get as much enjoyment out of a Wii U myself, whilst there are still games for him to play on the Playstation. He still calls Globox, Glomp! Where he has got this from I dont know or if hes just made it up
