Japanese Charts, June 16-22: Wii U sales fall following Mario Kart 8 effect

The latest Japanese Charts are in, showing Wii U back to it's normal level of sales following the Mario Kart 8 effect.

Sales of Wii U have fallen to 8,373, although no other console fares much better, with both PS3 and PS4 both selling under 7,000 units.

At least 3DS and Vita are doing ok, although sales are still way down compared to last year.

Perhaps some new games will revitalise things.

That's good news Wiiu is the best selling home console and 3ds best selling handheld in Japan. This has happening for 2 weeks, wiiu needs to continue till Hyrule Warriors comes out, Wiiu will be no.1 system for 2014, it's has most original games coming in next few months.

I wonder why home consoles sell so poorly in Japan? You would think that they'd still be all over the Wii U, PS3 and the PS4 right now but they just don't seem to care.

Please describe the nature of the abuse:
